Integration
Integration is the work of carrying what you received in ceremony into the life you live. This is what helps most once you are home.
The first 72 hours
- Rest. Sleep as much as you need and keep your schedule light.
- Write down what came: images, words, feelings, questions. It fades faster than you expect.
- Give yourself time before big decisions. Insight asks for patience before action.
- Stay near people who support you, and tell your cohort how you are.
The first 30 days
- Return to the practices that ground you: time in nature, breath, meditation, movement, prayer.
- Choose one small, real change and keep it. Integration happens in daily life, not in ideas.
- Notice what is asking for attention: a relationship, a habit, a grief. Bring it to circle.
Your cohort circles and the end of your integration month are dated on your ceremony's page. Read more in Integrating Yagé.
When it is hard
Difficult material can surface in the days and weeks after ceremony. That is common, and it is not a sign that something went wrong. Reach out early.
